HI HI HI!
I am so behind I know. Probably wasn’t my best idea to start a blog during my senior year of college, but I did and here we are. I am so sorry for the lack of posts. Now that the apologies are over………
Every year, for the past four, I have gone to New York City for a weekend. My best friend, Audrey, lives in the city and goes to college there and we always plan a trip for me to come up each year. That weekend is my favorite weekend of the year. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that this past weekend was that weekend for me.
Now onto what I’m wearing. I bought this sweater (I just love this color- I call it Cinderella blue) and scarf from H&M while I was there. I love H&M because it is so affordable. These jeans are some of my favorites (they don’t stretch out, I wore them 2 days in a row!!). They are also super comfortable and aren’t restricting like other high-waisted jeans.
So lets just take a few moments to talk about these boots. As you will see in the days to come in my other NYC outfit posts, I wore these almost every day. Also, I feel like I should tell you, I walked SO MUCH while I was there. I am a #brokecollegekid and didn’t want to pay for Ubers, cabs, or subways for short distances that I knew I could walk. That being said, these are my favorite shoes in my closet. You can probably tell because they look a little worn. I know I talk about shoes being comfortable pretty often, but these really are. I’m not going to lie and say my feet weren’t sore by the end of the day- because you could be walking on clouds and your feet will be sore after walking miles in NYC, but these really are your best option. I highly recommend these booties. Also, a huge plus, they go with everything! And the heel makes you feel confident, but not too over-dressed. I just love them. Oh and did I mention they are super affordable? Like under $50 affordable… They only come in whole sizes, so if you are a half size (like me) size up!
This necklace isn’t sold by Kate Spade anymore, but I linked a similar one that I love! Not pictured is Audrey’s same necklace in silver, they are our friendship necklaces that we bought together during my first NYC weekend. They go with everything and have cute sayings on the back. Mine is rose gold and says “make me blush.”
I promise you I won’t go that long without posting again! Even though excuses are lame, I was also in two weddings in the month of October and it really just took up every weekend for me (aka- my photography days).
Be on the lookout the next couple days for a new travel post from me! I will be posting my tips and tricks for the best New York City getaway!
I’m already planning my next trip up there……
xoxo,
Savannah Jayne
