When I saw this midi dress (almost a maxi on my frame) it reminded me of long summer days and backyard barbeques- AKA: Memorial Day Weekend! I love the length of this comfy white dress- I’ve been really into longer hemlines lately! I paired it with a beachy blue tote to dress it down. If you are wanting to get into the tassel trend but aren’t exactly sure how crazy you want to go with it- this tote is perfect for you! It has cute, but subtle tassels- and it’s under $100, which is hard to find in straw totes nowadays…

Taking these photos for such a special holiday in front of a fire station just seemed so fitting. I want to extend my deepest thanks and gratitude to those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for my protection and to the families who have had to endure that pain. And to those who continue to serve: thank you. From first responders to the armed forces- while we celebrate this holiday as the first (un)official day of summer, it really is a thank you to you who put your lives on the line daily to protect us and keep America the amazing country it is- and for that I can never thank you enough!

Happy Memorial Day! While you celebrate on the boat or at the beach or with your family or friends- remember all those who have given their lives so you can continue to enjoy the freedoms of this country.
