The second my eyes landed on this little pink corduroy skirt at Nordstrom I instantly was brought back to a different time. A time of half up half downs, superstar adidas’, corduroy mini-skirts, and off-the-shoulder tops. 2017, you ask? No, the 90’s and very early 2000’s. I may have been young during this time, I won’t discount that at all- but I know the fashion well and the it was iconic. If you would’ve asked me 5 years ago if dressing like this would ever be cool again (besides for a hipster), I would have laughed at you.

Let me tell you about one of my favorite brands. For those of you who don’t know I was born in Southern California, even though I didn’t live there long, a majority of my moms family still lives there and we try to visit as often as we can. California has always had a special place in my heart, and so when I found Brandy Melville a couple of years ago, I was so excited to be able to access the laid back and casual style I love so much. This top and skirt are both from Brandy, and although I usually go for the more casual tees, sweaters, and shorts- both of these items called my name. My local Nordstrom started carrying Brandy in stores and it is so exciting to have even more access to the brand (besides online and the limited selection at PacSun).

Lastly, pink is my thing, but so is rose gold. The second I saw these rose gold adidas months ago I knew I had to have them, but to my dismay they were always sold out in my size! I bought them originally in my normal size (6.5) and when they got to me I sadly came to the conclusion that they run big, actually they run a whole size too big. I am wearing a 5.5 here, which is extremely hard to find in stock. So if you are loving that superstar adidas are back in style, make sure you order a full size down!
