Your resident bargain shopper reporting for duty! A friend of mine sent me a couple of these Old Navy shoes yesterday and the second I saw the price I knew I had to write a post on it. The left are varying brands, all from Nordstrom, while the right are all Old Navy. I am all for splurging when the time is right, however when things are more trendy and less timeless, I tend to fare on the safe side. Velvet and poof’s are more trendy, rather than timeless, so I would be much more likely to purchase the Old Navy options. While a majority of the “splurge” shoes aren’t anything astronomical (ie. Louboutin/Jimmy Choo), they are still pricey for most people.
One item I would like to give some attention to is number 3 on the “save” side. I talked about these shoes incessantly last season, and they come back every year like clockwork. I am going to need to update my pair soon (I’ve had them for 4 years and still going strong), and I am so happy they continue to restock them. They are the most comfortable pair of boots I’ve ever worn and the heel doesn’t bother me at all. These are my NYC shoes during the colder months because I can walk forever in them without complaining. I also have those velvet boots in my shopping cart….
Old Navy is currently having a sale! With the code “THANKYOU” you can get 40% of your purchase if you are a cardholder, if you aren’t, no need to fear you will still get 30%! That means the prices above will be cut down dramatically so be sure to catch it before it ends tomorrow: 10/15!
Happy saving! (…or splurging)
xoxo,
Savannah Jayne
