White after Labor Day. So cliché, I know. The real reason I’m posting this so late, is honestly because of my lack of motivation as of late. I want to be a blogger and do this so badly, but have been in such a rut lately in way of being actually motivated to do it.

I took these photos months ago (my hair has been reduced 9 inches in said amount of time btw), and they have been sitting on my computer ready to go, but for some reason I just couldn’t bring myself to post them. Now we are approaching fall fashion and here I am swimming in a ton of summer content that is being wasted by sitting there unused.

I can blame a lot of things: work, being a newlywed, lack of time, getting my home in order. But in all honesty it was just a lack of discipline. I have no one and nothing to blame other than myself. I would rather watch Real Housewives of NYC most nights instead of doing something that I know I should be doing if I want to be successful.

If I just did this for fun, then yeah, it would be no problem that I go for weeks on end without posting anything, but I don’t. I want this to be a career path for myself, and until I start treating it like that, I will never become successful at it. There, I said it.

I am sitting down and making a game plan for The Plain Jayne, and actually want to make this blog something other than a site I post content on when I feel like it. So keep me accountable! Make me post things. Tell me you “haven’t heard from” me in awhile. It kicks me in the butt and tells me to get up and keep going. I really do love writing and styling, so I need to start acting like it.
